My Dream Home

A wooden table sitting in a garden. The sun is shining but there is an overhang to provide protection during rough weather.

Garden

The garden is full of herbs, vegetables, fruits, and colourful blooms. There is a covered seating area where I can drink coffee when it is raining.

A library with several shelves of books. The furniture is bright.

Library

Since I was a child, I've loved the written word. My dream home has a library full of fiction and non-fiction books. There are multiple lighting options.

An image of an office with a large window and overhead bookshelves.

Office

My office is bright and modern. The chair at my desk is ergonomic. I spend many hours a day here, so it must be aesthetically pleasing.

A cottage in the middle of the woods. It is peaceful. No neighbours are around.

Setting

Though I love the energy of living in a city, my ideal setting would be tucked away on some forgotten street where no one travels. A lot of green space is important.

A bedroom with a big window. There's a cat laying on the floor at the foot of the bed.

Bedroom

A cat watches the world go by from the foot of my queen size bed. Though the windows are bright, there are curtains that make the room dark and perfect for sleeping.

A bright kitchen with wooden cabinets. There is a bay window.

Kitchen

Always a centre for activity, a functional and modern kitchen is necessary for entertaining. Notice the door to the left that leads outside.

There is a lot of wicker furniture. The paint matches the lake visible outside the window.

Sunroom

With a view of the nearest waterway, the sunroom is a perfect place to sit on warm, summer days.

A clawfoot bathtub. Outside of the window the moon is full. Several candles are burning.

Bathroom

One of my great pleasures in life is taking a bath by candlelight. My dream home has a bathtub, heated floors, and a lot of plants. Don't worry, the candles only burn while I'm in there.

A functional living room with childrens toys scattered around.

Living room

Out of all of the rooms, the living room with its scattered children's toys, is the most lived-in room of the house. Fun, family, and festivities happen daily in this space.
